This blog chronicles how God is at work in and through us as we live out our faith in Europe.  We’re a family of missionaries serving with Greater Europe Mission and living in Germany.  Our ministry is called GemStone Media, and our charter is to produce relevant media, to facilitate the most strategic advancement of the Gospel across Europe and the world.  We accomplish this in three ways.  We produce media which is directed at North America, raising up prayer, financial gifts and new missionaries to see God’s will in Europe accomplished.  We partner with European churches, helping them to realize their own visions for Media outreach by providing training, equipment and expertise.  Finally we produce videos which share the Gospel, speak to a deep concern of the heart, or tell a story of how God is moving.

Why Europe?

Europe is a continent in great spiritual need.  Today less than 2% of Europeans have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, while more than 7% are Muslim.  Europe has long since ceased to be a Christian continent.  Further, in the west, the population has been vaccinated against the Gospel message by religious education in schools teaching church tradition and ritual in an intellectual way without ever dealing with scripture or a personal relationship with Jesus.  Virtually every town and village in Western Europe has a church, but many of those churches don’t have even a single individual who knows Jesus.  The combination leads to a populace that knows Christianity well as an empty and meaningless series of rituals, but has no experience at all with Jesus Christ.

Why Media?

When the Apostle Paul went to Athens and had the opportunity to speak to their ruling council (Acts 17:16-33) about what he believed, he didn’t turn to the Hebrew prophecies to prove who Jesus was.  That would have been meaningless to his audience.  He spoke about their altar to the unknown God and quoted their Greek poets.  In short, he spoke their language.  Today, media is the language of culture for most of the western world.  As followers of Christ, it’s time we proclaimed his name in the language of the culture, and that’s what we’re trying to do.

John, Thanks so much! Michelle, appreciate what you’re doing. I firmly believe prayer is the first step in everything we do as believers. I hope many people turn out to pray with you.

    A Prayer From Jesus

Jesus has giving this task to me. For someone has to tell you,

    You ARE, going to hell

Why? You ask. You believed man instead of what Jesus has established as salvation. For those who do not want to end up in the lake of fire Pray this prayer

These are the last days, This is your last chance.
Pray the Prayer from Jesus, and KNOW!

    – A PRAYER FROM JESUS –

This prayer is from Jesus that we may hear from Him, that He may speak to our hearts. It only consist of three simple steps.

1, We need to read one scripture. This will focus us in the word that brings everlasting life.

2, Since this prayer is from Jesus we need to direct our prayer to Him personally. Too often Christian focuses they’re prayer’s to G_D or Father. Scripture proclaims, that Jesus also should be the focus of our prayer.

3, The simplest part of this Prayer is to ask Jesus one question. Please, all that is required for this question is that it should be simple. Let Jesus Himself finish the question when He gives you that understanding through this prayer.
    The PRAYER

    A) The scripture that is the focus of this prayer is “ACTS 2:38”. It’s not necessary to do any study into this scripture. Jesus will give you the understanding that will resonate in your heart. Just read Acts 2:38, keep it in your heart and take this one scripture to prayer

    B) The most important part of this prayer is that we need to direct our prayer directly to Jesus. If you normally would say Father in your prayer, change your focus from the Father to Jesus, by lifting Jesus name up every time you would normally use Father in your prayer.

    C) Maybe the hardest part of this prayer is the question that we need to ask Jesus. For man is always trying to understand the question, instead of listening to the answer. The simplest question is all that is required.

    Simply ask Jesus, ‘WHY’?

    For those who are obedient

    Tom,

I’m not sure I understand what you’re saying. Are you saying that I am going to hell? Or is your comment directed at some other people you think might find it here?

You seem also to be a little too focused on a magical prayer. I think many people are led to believe that if they simply follow a set of steps like you’ve outlined above, they can then be saved and go on with their lives as they were before. People aren’t saved by saying a prayer or memorizing a passage of scripture. Our heart condition has to change, and that can only happen through the miraculous intervention of Christ and the Holy Spirit in our lives.

A step in that process is often prayer, and it may be helped along by reading scripture, but what truly matters is our hearts. When our hearts are transformed, we are able to give our lives to Christ just as he gave his life to us. That doesn’t end with a one time prayer. It requires each day that we set aside our own agendas and desires to do what he asks.

If I’m misunderstanding you, I hope you’ll clarify things for me.
