The Germans had their big elections Sunday night, and unfortunately the results were inconclusive. (The BBC has a nice chart in this article) As one member of the new Left Party put it: (From the BBC)
“Although I’m on the left, I would much rather have seen a clear right-wing victory than this mess. This is the worst of all worlds.”
The fundamental problem is that no party got enough votes to run the country, even as part of a coalition with another like minded party.
At a time when joblessness plagues the country, and the people are disheartened and disillusioned, the additional uncertainty this brings is unlikely to bode well.
Please continue to pray for Germany. There is only one answer to the real problem there, and it won’t come from politicians.
